Below you can read the personal story of one of our current students who was able to apply her skills in business after only two years at ICU:
Natalie Bobrova, current student
I am currently studying at ICU in my second year. My specialization is Business Administration in Marketing.I like it very much and that's why I am really interested in it.As I wanted to try to get a job in this industry, so I applied for an internship in one of the biggest international advertising agency-Ogilvy.I was really worried about my first day, and mt first impression. But my feelings were in vain. I felt at once that I was in the right place. It was easy for me to communicate with people whom I saw for the first time. And everything is thanks to my courses at ICU like Speech Communication, Business Communication.
But the main thing was that I knew what to do with all my marketing training, like presentations, branding, possitioning, etc.I was given a lot of tasks and very rarely found something difficult to do.I knew how to do my job.
I understood that these things were taught at ICU in my classes in Principles of Marketing, Marketing Services, Business Math, Micro and Macroeconomics, and others. I was given practical knowledge, not just theory, and knew already what may not be needed at all. I felt real pluses on my side by comparing myself to other people who studied in other universities. And all of our students from ICU find the same situation at our new jobs. Our students often begin to work even before graduating from the University. International and national companies really need us, since we have theoretical and practical knowledge, and can express all of it in good English. Realizing it I began to really appreciate my education at ICU. It’s the only university in the Ukraine which gives this high level of education. I am proud of ICU!
